Hello-Good-bye Party

On Monday August 24, 2015 we hosted a Hello-Goodbye Party for the Pier's as they leave and welcoming the Warr's and the Ponds! Twenty of us gathered together for a spring time dinner at the mission home.
We loved hearing front he Pier's as they reflected on their mission experience. They are on their 5th mission and still have a lot of energy!
Sister Taylor made a homemade cake and used her decorating skills to celebrate the service of the Pier's and also welcome the new couples.

The Ponds and the Warr's are joining with the Pier's as the Hello-Good-bye group!

Right in the middle of the gathering we were treated by a visit of 4 Elders due to an injury sustained by Elder Hughes, (below). While playing Rugby on P-day, he broke his collar bone and ended up at the Flora Clinic for X-rays. We invited them over to have a quick dinner with us, while we consulted with the area doctor about possible purgers! never a dull moment in the mission home!

Elder Allred giving Elder Hughes some advice about dealing with a broken collarbone. Notice the ties tying back his clavicle until he gets a brace.
*Note: he is going in for surgery in the morning

Sister Pier made it to the airport after the fun party and also attending a full day of zone conference! Good luck to you both as you head home and transition back to civilian life. We love and appreciate your great service.
