Centurion Zoning In!

Wednesday rolls around and we find ourselves out with the missionaries for another Zoning In! This is our name for a day out with our missionaries. We study, teach, contact, etc. with them. Whatever the zone leaders think would give us a good feel for things that are happening on the ground.
Today we had the pleasure of going with Elder Flack who is training Elder Wride in the area of Hospital View in the Centurion Zone. We had a delightful time spending an hour with them as they were studying the 12 week program. What a great set of Elders. Elder Flack was trained in this area and then turned around himself and is training Elder Wride.
We were impressed by their list of investigators on date for baptism (8) and their list of less actives, members, etc. It is clear they have are working hard.
Next, we drove to Birch Acres and picked up Elder Irakize and Elder Kei and accompanied them to a lesson.
What a pleasure to meet Veronica. She invited us into her home where we met her 19 year old son as he headed off to school, Veronica is originally from Zimbabwe and was introduced to the church there by her sister first. She has taken some of the lessons, but is very anxious to complete all the requirements for baptism.

She is on date to be baptized on Sunday April 24th and we are hoping to attend that day to participate.

Getting out with the missionaries is the only way you really see what is really going on. Even though we only get around 1 day a week in this more formal way, it is so valuable to give us more hands on time with our wonderful Elders.
Thanks to Elder Swindlehurst and Elder Widdison for planning such a great activity and for these great 4 Elders for letting us tag along.
