Oh, Baby

In December 2015 we received a great surprise! Emi and Chase (our daughter and son-in-law) were visiting and they asked us to open an early Christmas present. When we opened this framed saying, we were taken back for a moment and then quickly realized it was their way to share their exciting news of a baby expected in July 2016.
Wow! We were delighted and thrilled to say the least. After traveling all over the world and holding down jobs with Teach For America and then Google, we were ecstatic to learn that after 4 years of marriage they felt it was now time to start their family.

 We even got to go to Emi's first appointment and see evidence of this little developing Dunn-Rigby baby. There is something surreal to have your baby having a baby!

We were not expecting to actually have her come out of the doctor's office and show us the first pictures of our soon-to-be grandchild. You can see we were pretty elated. We even went out to dinner to celebrate and are still so happy about this exciting news.
