A Baptism on Mother's Day!

On Sunday May 10th we were able to participate in a very special Mother's Day event. President Dunn and I met up with the 5 missionaries serving in Vosloorus, Elder Maraetefau, Elder Watenga, Elder Rakotoarison, Elder Ndwandwe and Elder Rushton at the chapel. This is a great group of Elders.
They have been teaching this great couple and had President Dunn come to an interview. During the process these great people requested that President Dunn perform the baptism. What a sweet experience and a great way to pause and celebrate a wonderful event on Mother's Day. Their little 4 year old son will benefit greatly from his parents joining the church.
We marvel that every Sunday in our mission, baptisms are happening. Each and every one is so meaningful, as people are coming to Christ and putting their faith and trust in Him.
As part of Relief Society, all these primary children came into the room and sang songs for the mothers. When they left, the Priesthood men followed and serenaded the women and then brought them cake. I think we need to have this Mother's Day tradition where I come from! :)
This was a Mother's Day to remember! I felt surrounded by so many great people full of faith.
As we left, the newly baptized family asked us to plan to attend the temple in one year when they get endowed. We will be there!
