Witnessed first baptism service since our arrival

What a treat to arrive at a new ward on Sunday August 10th to find 4 of our great Elders serving in Rabie Ridge ward…Elder Holmquist, Elder Christie, Elder Harris and Elder Johnson and to find out their was a baptism scheduled after church. Elder Harris performed the baptism and Bulelani, the new member will be confirmed next week in sacrament meeting.

The young man that had accepted to be baptized is Bulelani Kambula.
The baptism room was filled with friends and supporters for Bulelani.  So many other young single adults were there.
It was such a great regular meeting with wonderful sacrament talks and then meaningful investigator Sunday School classes and a wonderful relief society meeting where the Priesthood came in and surprised the sisters with a song and a special cake in honor of Women’s Day and Women’s Month. I was happy to be there to see and feel of the love and energy these members have for each other.
Here is the special cake they had made.
Relief Society Sisters were pleased to have the men and boys remember their special day and requested a song, "Sisters In Zion" to be sung by them.

They did an amazingly good job without any practice or notice!

After the meetings it was fun to see everyone share with each other and all the children of the ward got news there was cake and came running.

This darling couple is expecting their second child in a few weeks.  We were so impressed with the number of strong families that were part of this ward.

We loved our day at the Rabie Ridge Ward. We hope to return often and come to know these great members even more.
