Tyler's Special Baptism!

Tyler Van Der Hover had a very special baptism and invited us to participate. Prior to her baptism, she participated in a brilliant primary program that we were able to attend in the Centurion 2nd ward. This drawings below are primary children's depictions of their families.  To have them printed on the program and individually colored in, gave us an immediate sense of the love and details that were going to be part of this program. Needless to say, it was so special and a great forerunner to the baptism week!

Tyler Van Der Hover had a very special baptism and invited us to participate. We had already made good friends with her parents, Lynne and Theo. It was meant to be that we were introduced and became fast friends naturally. So, with Tyler’s baptism coming up, we were delighted to get a personal invite from Tyler.

Then, President Dunn was invited to be a the speaker at her baptism. So, for all of the missionary baptisms we have and will get to participate in, this one for a 8 year old girl was an unexpected and delightful invitation. Below is Mommy Lynne, Granny Veronica, Tyler and Daddy Theo.

How special to have your Bishop baptize you.

As you can see from the pictures, Tyler and her amazing family really celebrated her baptism as the most special occasion in her life. It was so meaningful to see how much excitement and understanding Tyler had about this special event.

The food was delicious and so beautifully planned and prepared. It touched us to see the efforts that Lynne and Theo went to have this so special for Tyler. We were so honored to be able to be part of it.

After the baptism, we scheduled a dinner at the mission home for the Van Der Hover’s and Lynne’s mother Veronica Dallender.  They came right when my mother arrived, so that we could have both of our mother’s meet each other.  It was such a special evening and one we will repeat.
