Hitting the streets in Secunda!

Zoning In-Benoni

Today we drove out of town for our weekly "Zoning-In"  event. It is always so uplifting to be out among our missionaries and serve with them. Today was extra special to visit the Secunda district. These missionaries are serving 2 hours out of town and are somewhat isolated. We have anew area that just opened called Emmaleche.

The Elders knew we were coming and so they made a plan to set up a booth at a mall. They also had their ward mission leader and 2 members join together with us.

We spent 3 hours contacting people at the mall.

It helped to have a group of us to storm the mall It was so productive!

It was really amazing how many people we were able to talk to. The booth made a difference because people came over and were interested in hat they had to share.

I personally found it so meaningful to have contact with people and have them interested in knowing more and being willing to have the missionaries come to visit.

Here you see President Dunn contacting. He was a great example of how to “fear no man.” 

We loved serving with them today.

We also loved having Peter join as the ward mission leader. Makhosie and Thondo were so helpful as members. It was wonderful to have people recognize them.

Elder Kwaibaisi, Elder Laminie, Elder Downs and Elder Masiya all did a great job.

I felt strength in numbers to day. Our Elders made a big effort to plan something because we were coming. It shows the value of getting out among the missionaries and being with them.

There is nothing we do that I love any more than this.

These are such great Elders. The banner also helps. WE used this for our Week of Witnessing and now they are availed for various zones to check them out. This was a perfect example of how it helps draw people together.

We were kept busy through all of the afternoon.

Lots of materials were available for those we were contacting.

Great group!

WE even sang a few songs...which invites the spirit.

WE found this woman who had been been taking the missionary lessons and then she moved and lost contact. She re-committed  to being contacted again.

We treated everyone to some "cold pop" after our afternoon of contacting in the hot sun.
