District meeting in Nelspruit

On Friday August 21, 2015, we came to Nelspruit for a quick trip. Many members were planning a temple trip on Saturday August 22nd and needed temple recommends. It gave us cause to come up on Thursday night and before we headed home, we had a chance to participate in the weekly district meeting. It was impressive to be part of Elder Pick-up's training he planned. It was  great lesson on working in unity as companionships.

The meetings are held in the senior couples' flats. The Swan's hosted today and provided a breakfast before the meeting.

On the patio, Elder Swan had his latest portrait on display. He has painted individual portraits of almost everyone in the branch. By the time they finish their mission after the first of the year, he hopes to have one completed for each member.
