Klintworth Day Out

On Saturday July 25th, we enjoyed a "Great Day Out with the Klintworth's. From beginning to end, it was a wonderful P-day.

"Thought for the day"
Sometimes what your body and spirit want is simple-just to wind down, to see something beautiful, to rest, to taste good things, to feel comfortable, to have time where you don't have to think hard or work hard."

"Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest." ~Psalm 55:6

To start off, President Dunn met up with Garth and Angus Klintworth for a little golf with our friend, Micah Day, who is visiting in town on business.  They played at Woodmead Country Club and had a great round of golf.
Meanwhile the girls went horseback riding in the Kylami area. What a treat to ride with Michelle and learn more about how to ride English style, instead of Western!
Rebecca joined with us and showed me how to do it. Her horse, Jupiter, only likes her to ride him. It was impressive to see her ride and jump and handle a horse. I have a lot to learn. Here I am below, riding around the arena at the end of our ride. I was anxious not to ruin a good thing. I was afraid Nikita (the horse) might want to jump and show me who was boss. I was anxious to get off and have Rebecca show me  her jumping routine.

Kelly came to see how we enjoyed our ride.  I love the Klintworth kids.

After a quick lunch with everyone, we headed to the Springboks vs. All Blacks National Rugby Game at Ellis Park. It was fun to be able to load everyone in the van and travel together.

The game was sold out, so we felt lucky to be able to get tickets. Thanks to Garth getting tickets early, we all got to go to this very popular game. It was a mad house getting there and getting parked however. We made it just in time for the kick-off.

Full house in Ellis Park. With a stadium of 65,000 seats, we did not see any empty seats.

Kyle Klintworth plays rugby for his school team and gave us a play by play so we could understand the game even better. This is our third SA rugby game we have attended and the first pro-level game. Quite the experience.
