Connor Stapley pays us a visit!

On Wednesday July 11 we had the chance to catch up with Connor Stapley. he lives in Arizona and came to Utah for a wedding of Tyler Carpenter.  He was so nice to make the effort to come all the way up from Provo (in an Uber) and visit us.
he ended up staying with us overnight and President Dunn took him back to Provo the next day.

We loved hearing about his flight school, dating success and general well being. We love you Connor and we were so happy for the visit.

Jace Riley gets married

We were delighted to attend Jace Riley's sealing in the SL Temple on May 17th.  It was fun that we knew MacKenzie and her wonderful family already.  It is a great day to get to participate in any of the weddings of our wonderful SAJM sons!

A Special South African Visitor

On Sunday July 8, 2018, Angus Klintworth showed up on our front door. We have been looking forward to a visit from him for a few months.  He came to EFY in Provo and then had a week or so to play golf, visit with family friends before returning home. He enjoyed looking through the mission scrapbooks. It was fun to see   Mindaugus Turauskis from Latvia, where his brother Kyle is now serving pictured here.

We took him up Millcreek canyon right by our house for some Sunday sightseeing and then returned later in the week for some Mountain bike riding of our own.

He got to do some ministering with me as I stopped to see my neighbor and friend Shirley Knell, who recently lost her husband and is now a widow.

We also went to Round Valley- just outside Park City. Angus has come here in the winter, but fun to see in our summer season.

We took a stop in Midway and had lunch with Kathy Cahoon.

On to Provo after lunch and a quick visit to the new Provo City temple.

Angus even got to don a YSA jersey and play in a softball game.

Our last sighting was our farewell at the airport. We are excited to know we will see Angus again, either when he comes to ski, or comes next time for his mission. Either way, we will welcome him with open arms.

A Seventy Turns Sixty!

The same spring that Michael Austin Dunn turned 60 years old- he was ordained a Seventy in the LDS Church. (He says it is all good, because he feels more like he is 50!)


We have had three Stake Conference assignments so far and they have all been wonderful.

April 30- Orem Stake with Elder LeGrand Curtis and his wife Jane.

June 2- Cedar City with Elder Gifford Nielsen
Stake re-organization

On our way to Cedar City, we stopped in Manti and enjoyed time with my Aunt Carol and my cousin Karl and his family. 

On the Saturday, Mike was busy with interviews, so I spent time in Cedar Breaks on my bike. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours. I also went to the newly dedicated Cedar City Temple.

Evanston Wyoming South Stake Conference
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Evanston. The people were so warm and friendly and down to earth. We hope to be able to go back there and visit in the future. We loved it so much.
